My horticultural roots run deep – my grandparents, my uncles, and my father all started the second nursery in Half Moon Bay in the early 60’s (McCahon Nursery), which is next to Cameron’s Pub on Highway 1. Despite my parents leaving the nursery business in the late 60’s to become Realtors, my inner passion for gardening never waned. Although I majored in Dietetics at UC Davis, I managed to squeeze in a few plant-related courses along the way.
I’ve worn many hats over the years, but once I became a UC Master Gardener in 2010, I discovered my true calling in life and eventually started Seascapes Succulent Nursery & Garden Design in 2016. I guess you could say that I’m a jack of many trades, but “master” of only one. I feel so fortunate to be able to work outdoors, doing what I love most and sharing my gardening knowledge with others.
I personally shop for my plants, always seeking out the most colorful and/or hardy plants for our Bay Area microclimate. I incorporate both succulents and other drought-tolerant perennials into my garden designs, depending on my clients’ preferences. Let me help you design your dream garden!
